Aurora over Ersfjord

Some nights the sky decides to perform. Sølvi had driven out to Ersfjord on a forecast and a thermos, and for an hour the fjord lay so still that the aurora burned twice — once overhead, once in the water. The little boathouse on the shore never stirred. By the time the green faded, the cold had settled into her fingers, but she would have stayed until dawn.
